ACORN Undercover Video Scandal Rocks Internets

The series of two YouTube videos reportedly shows an undercover couple posing as a prostitute and an aspiring future Congressional candidate, who solicit help from ACORN to get around federal tax laws, avoid attention from the law and funnel the "proceeds" into the Congressional election fund.

The video was apparently put together by a young filmmaker named James O'Keefe, and published earlier this morning by Andrew Brietbart on the decidedly partisan BigGovernment blog. Since then it's been trending on Google News, Twitter and YouTube most of the day.

Since then, the non-profit housing group has reportedly fired the two employees depicted in the video. ACORN also stated the video was a deliberate smear attack and that "undercover teams attempted similar stunts at three other ACORN offices."
