Remember the Asus PadFone -- the tablet that hides a smartphone inside? Well, this concept just got upgraded with the faster and lighter PadFone 2, unveiled by Asus Tuesday in Taiwan, before its official launch in Milan.
The new PadFone 2 sports a 4.7-inch, 720p Super IPS+ display, a Qualcomm quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, NFC and a 13-megapixel rear camera with 1080p video recording. It is powered by Android 4.0 with a Jelly Bean (Android 4.1) update coming in the near future.
If you thought that was impressive -- there's more. The tablet has a 10.1-inch, 1,280 x 800 IPS display and a 5000mAh battery. The whole package weighs 649 g -- a lot lighter than the original PadFone, which weighed 854 g.
