Plus-sized women are forced to endure a myriad of bizarre injustices when it comes to clothing advertisements, but this definitely takes it to a whole new level.

A website associated with Alibaba is advertising a pair of colorful, poly-blend leggings as "plus-size."

Okay, cool, nothing wrong with that. So what's the problem?

The problem is the product photo, which advertises the leggings by having a thin woman stand in one of the legs, while stretching out the waistband to its full length.

Um, okay. But ... why?

Are the manufacturers trying to appeal to women who only wear one pant leg at a time? Are they trying to instigate a new and forward-thinking fashion trend? Are these pants supposed to be worn as a dress?

For the record, here are how the non-plus-sized leggings are advertised on the site.

Regardless of any "reason" behind the strange and unnecessary photo, here's a pro tip for clothing websites: Insulting prospective customers probably isn't the best advertising scheme.
