Bebo has launched its Open Platform, so the folks over at Bebo have sent us some numbers on their growth since the Open Platform launch. So far Bebo is reporting 4,250,409 installs of applications. With about 40 companies rolling out their applications along with Bebo's Open Platform launch, so over 4 million application installs in just over 1 week isn't too shabby.
Can we expect these numbers from other larger networks' open platforms? What will be interesting to gauge is the reaction from both developers and end users for Bebo applications, as they can be the same applications as those found on Facebook. You'd expect to get a higher adoption rate for developers loading their applications on Bebo as the same applications they've already created on Facebook can be ported over to Bebo with a fair amount of ease.
