We knew Ben Carson had big plans for changing the United States -- we just didn't know that included literally changing the United States.
The Carson campaign shared an image of a U.S. map on various social media platforms on Tuesday nights, but there was a problem: Several states were labeled incorrectly, and others were shaped completely incorrectly.
Take a look:
Fusion was one of the first to point out that, upon closer inspection, the map is wrong. Very wrong.
Much of the northeast is in the wrong location, geographically, and Connecticut appears to have merged with northern Vermont. Here's a side-by-side:
While the blunder is clearly a graphic designer's mistake, I'd like to go on record and say that as a New York resident, I support the relocation and reshaping of these states. New York could use a few more beaches, and I think Rhode Island being even smaller is pretty cool.
Carson's team deleted the posts and replaced them with the correct, boring version of the regular old United States.
