Airports can seem like just a means to an end -- places you have to go to get where you're going. But some are better than others, and some are positively great.
Each year, the Guide to Sleeping in Airports goes through thousands of submissions and ratings to determine the best airports in the world (as well as the worst).
To make it to the top 10, airports must "go above and beyond when it comes to providing a clean and comfortable travel experience, complete with services and facilities you might not even imagine," according to the website. Time spent at them should be "an experience in and of itself."
Here are the airports with the best overall experiences:
10. Zürich Kloten International Airport, Switzerland
9. Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Malaysia
8. Vancouver International Airport, Canada
7. Helsinki International Airport, Finland
6. Munich International Airport, Germany
5. Hong Kong International Airport, Hong Kong
4. Taipei Taoyuan International Airport, Taiwan
3. Tokyo Haneda International Airport, Japan
2. Seoul Incheon International Airport, South Korea
1. Singapore Changi International Airport, Singapore
If you've never been, take a look through some more photos of Changi airport and you'll soon wonder about the injustice of every airport not being like this one.
