AUSTIN, Texas -- Veteran comedian Bill Cosby uploaded his first Instagram post Monday at South by Southwest, just minutes before taking the stage at his standup show for Funny or Die. Facebook's Dustin Bramell recorded and posted the video with Cosby.

A sweater-clad Cosby, who recently tweeted "Twitter is the best fan-to-entertainer exchange I've ever had," told Mashable that Instagram will continue to help him respond and relay stuff to fans faster, unlike fan clubs when he was younger than his current 76-year-old self.

"All of it seems to take away from old-time mail service ... Now everything is 15 seconds," he said in his greenroom at Lustre Pearl on Monday night, explaining the evolution of his engagement with fans. "I'm entertained by all the nicknames" like "Trash642."

Here is the video posted to the @BillCosby Instagram account:

I quickly favorited the post, becoming the first person to like it.
