Saudia Arabia Bans Blackberries

Saudia Arabia has issued a ban of Blackberry services for national security reasons, effective August 6. According to Arab News, approximately 750,000 devices are currently in use in Saudi Arabia [via WSJ].

Motorola and Verizon to Launch TV Tablet Device

Motorola is reportedly working on a 10-inch, Android-based tablet device designed with TV consumers in mind. The device could launch in the U.S. as early as this fall [via Financial Times].

Hail a London Cab on Twitter

A group of London drivers have built up a 100-car black cab service on Twitter. Users of the microblogging platform can tweet or direct message @tweetalondoncab to hail a car. Cabbies are also using the service to aggregate and share real-time data about demands and surpluses of cabs around the city [via The Guardian].
