The Boo is back! Why anyone would want to associate themselves with the UK company that famously burned its way through $120 million back in the boom is questionable, but nonetheless, the UK's equivalent of Pets.com (ie. massive dot com flameout) is back with a new aim. Oh, and did I mention it's Web 2.0?

Now owned by the online travel company Web Reservations International (WRI), Boo.com relaunches today as a social travel site. I think they've done a pretty good job with this one: it uses a lot of modern conventions like clean URLs, loads of javascript, Google Maps integration, profile pages and tags. But while the design is modern on first glance, the multi-panel layout is damned confusing and doesn't exactly seem like a search engine honeypot.

What do you think: able to forget the bust that was Boo?
