An Australian couple have been left with a black wedding instead of a white wedding, after a bushfire came extraordinarily close to their wedding venue.
The couple, Carli and Ennis Cehic from Melbourne, planned to marry in front of 170 guests at Galwiji Homestead in Scotsburn, Victoria on Saturday, according the ABC.
"I was on my way and the fire blew through in front of us, I couldn’t get through to the wedding," the bride told the Herald Sun. "They thought I was running late."
In a last minute dash to safety, the groom-to-be was rushed to a nearby pub -- where he met up with his future wife.
The wedding was reorganised in moments and the couple said "I do" in front of their guests at the Crown Hotel in Buninyong, Victoria, according to the publication. It was a different ceremony to the homestead wedding they had planned, but after eight years together they weren't letting a fire ruin their plans.

The Scotsburn bushfire that raged through Victoria during the weekend destroyed 12 homes, 23 sheds and burned 4,000 hectares, according to the Country Fire Authority. By Monday morning, the fire had been brought under control and conditions were expected to continue to ease.
At least something beautiful came out of the dark day.
