Coachella Fans: So Hip They Like Bands That Don't Even Exist

Are you down on certain segment of the current generation of teens and 20-somethings because you think they're nothing but a bunch of vapid, status-obsessed dingbats more concerned with picking the right Instagram filter than actually becoming real people of substance?

If so, don't watch this video. Or do -- but prepare to be disgusted.

It comes from the Coachella music festival, by way of Jimmy Kimmel. The late-night host came up with a pretty brilliant idea: Interview festival-goers about up-and-coming bands whose relative obscurity is explained by the fact that they don't exist at all.

How do the Coachella fans react? Well, many captured here enthusiastically discuss how great the fictitious bands are, and one bro even talks about how he used to "spin" an album called "DJ Cornmeal" on his community radio station up in Canada.

So ... yeah. Just watch the video above and let us know what you think in the comments.
