An "Elevator Pitch" is a well-known concept, especially among entrepreneurs. It's an opportunity to pitch a succinct yet persuasive idea, usually in 60 seconds or less -- the average time you'd spend on an elevator ride.

However, a pitch rarely happens in an actual elevator.

But on Sept. 27-28 at Mashable’s annual Social Good Summit, at the 92nd Street Y, in New York City, the MasterCard Center for Inclusive Growth will be giving individuals and organizations the opportunity to give an elevator pitch in a real elevator. They'll be able to tell The Center what they're doing in the name of social good, specifically to help end poverty and enhance worldwide economic inclusion.

The MasterCard® Priceless® Elevator Pitch, has been used by MasterCard as a competitive, entrepreneurial small business initiative. But at the Social Good Summit, The MasterCard Center for Inclusive Growth wanted to use the Elevator Pitch for what they do best -- connecting people. So every pitch has the potential to make a difference and will be posted and shared on social media to create a network of people and ideas who can all work together for one cause -- ending poverty.

So how does it work, exactly?

You enter the Priceless® Elevator, introduce yourself, your colleagues and your organization.

Then, you have 60 seconds to answer this question:

What are you doing to help end poverty, and how can The Center help?

Watch the video above to learn more about the Priceless® Elevator and start prepping for your pitch.
