Like spring flowers after a May rainstorm, you knew hot takes would bloom all across this great and reasonable land once a federal judge finally issued his ruling in the balls-inspecting Deflategate marathon of a dispute between the New England Patriots and the NFL.

But leave it to none other than Snoop Dogg to be the voice of reason in our moment of national hysteria.

The hot takes poured in from the north, the south, the east and west after Thursday morning's decision in favor of the Patriots and Tom Brady. Brady has for now avoided any suspension for the controversy, and the legal defeat is yet another black eye on NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.

"Even with 'Deflategate' loss, NFL still wins," the Chicago Tribune declared.

"The real Deflategate verdict? The NFL's in trouble," opined MarketWatch.

So on and so forth.

And then there was Snoop.

"I can't do nothin' but smoke," Snoop said in an Instagram video posted shortly after Tuesday's news.

Measured. Realistic. Logical. That's Snoop, alright.

"You might as well turnover [the suspensions of] all the homies that got weed cases in the league too," Snoop says in conclusion.

Given that the league considered smoking weed eight times worse than beating a woman right around this time last year, the man might actually have a point there.
