Donald Trump slammed Hillary Clinton for "playing the women's card" in a tweet fired off on Monday, threatening to bring up her husband's past with women if she continues.

If Hillary thinks she can unleash her husband, with his terrible record of women abuse, while playing the women's card on me, she's wrong!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) December 28, 2015

Trump’s threats come as Clinton’s campaign plans to release former President Bill Clinton onto the campaign trail. The former president remains popular among the Democratic base, and is often a crowd pleaser.

Clinton's campaign, as well as groups backing Clinton, have charged Trump with sexism in recent days after the GOP presidential hopeful used vulgar language to describe Clinton's loss in the 2008 Democratic presidential primary.

Trump also made disparaging comments about Clinton needing a bathroom break during the last Democratic debate.

We are not responding to Trump but everyone who understands the humiliation this degrading language inflicts on all women should. #imwithher— Jennifer Palmieri (@jmpalmieri) December 22, 2015

Instead of apologizing for his remarks, Trump has instead attacked Clinton for crying sexism. He's also trying to deflect the attacks by bringing up former President Bill Clinton's previous extramarital affairs.

Hillary Clinton has announced that she is letting her husband out to campaign but HE'S DEMONSTRATED A PENCHANT FOR SEXISM, so inappropriate!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) December 27, 2015

Clinton's husband, former President Bill Clinton, had an infamous affair with then-White House intern Monica Lewinsky when he was president in the 1990s, and also admitted to an affair with Gennifer Flowers, a model and actress.

Trump, however, also has a checkered past with women — aside from his comments on Clinton. The billionaire businessman is now on his third marriage and has been accused of infidelity.
