EMI has partnered wih Springdoo to promote a music video by Mattafix, which was created by the UK artist to raise awareness for the ongoing crisis in Darfur through Springdoo's Facebook application.
While EMI is pushing the viral marketing of this video across various social networks, it's use of Facebook may be one of the most effective places in which this video can be spread. Facebook is becoming an integral part of the awareness being raised via the Internet, drawing in tens of thousands of users in for the support of activists groups that are fighting for the end of Burma's oppressive military regime.
