Calling all Empire stans: Cookie Lyon is back.
A new teaser trailer for Season 2 of the hit Fox series has finally dropped, showing us bits and pieces of what to expect: Cookie visiting Lucious in prison, Jamal continuing his musical reign and the return of Anika, a.k.a. Boo Boo Kitty.

Most importantly, it also gives us a sneak peek into Cookie's wardrobe next season -- featuring patchwork denim blazers and stacked gold necklaces. The snippet also shows the Lyon matriarch in some kind of cage (filming a music video, perhaps?).
Guess we'll find out when the high-stakes drama returns on Sept. 23.
