Update: Facebook mailed us to say all the accounts are being restored at the moment - no need to worry. The Facebook Guy, however, cannot be revived. ;)

A side effect of the Facebook relaunch is bubbling up in the Facebook discussion forums: a large number of users (certainly hundreds, possibly thousands) are reporting that their accounts have been deleted. We're awaiting a response from Facebook, but we're pretty certain it's a transitional thing.
