It seems like the most unlikely of headlines, but according to some data Om Malik received from comScore, Facebook actually saw a 9.3% decline in total unique visitors in August and September.
If this is true, it would suggest Facebook is losing a lot of steam in the US, considering the international growth that the company recently boasted about. Meanwhile, Compete.com also shows a 7.7% decline for Facebook in the past month, so perhaps something actually is up with Facebook’s traffic.
