Far Cry is headed back to prehistoric times, with nary a foot-powered car or talking dinosaur-telephone in sight.

The first-person action franchise is known for taking its players to extreme locations -- most recently the Himalayas and the South Pacific -- for intense, survival-focused experiences. But Far Cry Primal will take place in 10,000 B.C., when early humans walked alongside mammoths and other ferocious beasts.
