A new memorial opened on Thursday in Stonycreek Township, Pennsylvania to honor the victims of Flight 93, which was hijacked nearly 14 years ago during the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Passengers on the flight had forced the terrorists who took control of the plane to crash-land in rural Pennsylvania, where 40 passengers and crew members died, in addition to the four hijackers.

The $26 million memorial and museum, designed by Los Angeles architect Paul Murdoch, spotlights not only the victims of Flight 93, but also others who perished during the attacks.
