If you enjoy food and appreciate art (and who doesn't), this challenge is for you.

We partnered with MasterCard to bring you our latest Mashable Vine Challenge: We're asking our readers to create food art animations that illustrate the idea of getting together -- whether with a friendly circle of fruits, a carrot quartet, or salt and pepper duo forming hands that hold.

MasterCard made a few fun Vines of their own, shown below. Use these examples as inspiration for your food art creations.

To celebrate National Zucchini Day, Mashable featured the green veggie as the star of our second #GetTogether animation. The behind-the-scenes take will show you what went into making this Vine video.

You have until Sunday, August 10, at 8 p.m. ET to share your videos using the hashtag #GetTogether and by tagging @mashable. Our favorite submissions will be featured in a roundup post. See official rules here.

Vine animation tips from Mashable

1. Use materials like aluminum wire, fishing line and sticky tack to assist actions like bending and hanging in your animation.

2. When it comes to lighting, the more the better. It's hard to overexpose a Vine video if you use the focus tool properly -- but it's easy for it to look dim, especially if you aren't using natural light. So to be safe, use as many lights as possible.

3. If you're leaning more toward storytelling and less toward abstract art, construct a diorama. The full set, complete with a floor and three walls, will make your Vine video look like a real Saturday morning cartoon.
