The dust has barely settled since the trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens broke the Internet (and ticket presale records), but the good folks at Netflix are always looking ahead. The streaming service has snagged the rights to stream The Force Awakens in 2016, but only in one special place: Canada.

According to Variety, Disney has an exclusive output deal with Starz in the U.S. that runs until the end of 2015. This means that Disney titles with theatrical releases through that date will be hosted on Starz after they leave multiplexes.

Disney's U.S. deal with Netflix doesn't start until 2016; as of then, Disney titles will stream on Netflix following their theatrical releases. But because The Force Awakens hits theaters on Dec. 18 of 2015, that means it'll eventually air on Starz in the United States, rather than Netflix.

In Canada, though, Disney and Netflix's deal began with 2015 releases. This means The Force Awakens will come to Netflix in Canada about eight months after it leaves theaters.

21st Century Fox owns the first Star Wars film; Disney, which acquired Lucasfilm in 2012, owns the remaining five.

The Force Awakens opens Dec. 18th.
