There have now been a whopping 53 episodes of the twisted dragon-filled Ren Faire extravaganza that is Game of Thrones.

Need a refresher? Need ratings for each episode so you can bolster your arguments? Look no further.

Below, you'll find a list of each installment of the show -- up to and including Season 6. Every episode gets a Friends-style alternate name, a brief review, and a score out of 10 severed Ned Stark heads.

We'll keep updating with reviews of the latest episodes at the top, as Season 6 progresses.

Season 6 (2016)

1. The Red Woman

Also known as: The one where Jon Snow is totally dead, Brienne finds Sansa and Theon, and Melisandre gets an unusual makeover.

One-line review: A return to form that rightly focuses on the fallout at Castle Black.

2. Home

Also known as: The one where Bran sees the past, Ramsay kills his family, Tyrion meets the dragons, Balon Greyjoy takes a fall, and Jon Snow takes a breath.

One-line review: There's so much happening in this episode, it's astonishing that the show manages to make it all work.

3. Oathbreaker

Also known as: The one where Bran sees his dad's most famous fight, Dany meets the ex-wives club, and Jon hangs some old frenemies.

One-line review: A more subdued episode that still manages to walk right up to the edge of the show's most tantalizing mystery.

Season 1 (2011)

1. Winter is Coming

Also known as: The one where everyone is introduced, Dany is married, and Bran gets thrown out of a window.

One-line review: A strong opening marred by too many attempts to shock the audience.

2. The Kingsroad

Also known as: The one where Tyrion slaps Joffrey, someone tries to kill Bran again, and Ned has to put down a direwolf.

One-line review: Deeper, more thoughtful, more intriguing than the first outing.

3. Lord Snow

Also known as: The one where Tyrion pees from the top of the Wall, and Arya has her first lesson with a Needle.

One-line review: Struggles to keep our interest while introducing a mass of new characters.

4. Cripples, Bastards and Broken Things

Also known as: The one where Jon meets Samwell Tarly, King Robert has a tourney, and Catelyn arrests Tyrion in a tavern.

One-line review: The show hits its stride, and doubles down on sympathy for the Imp.

5. The Wolf and the Lion

Also known as: The one where Tyrion saves Catelyn from barbarians with a shield, and gets thrown in a sky cell.

One-line review: Much more focused as scenes with Dany and the Wall are omitted.

6. A Golden Crown

Also known as: The one where Dany eats a whole horse heart, Tyrion escapes the Eyrie, and Viserys Targaryen becomes a metal head.

One-line review: Solid storytelling amps up the tension with beautiful effects.

7. You Win or You Die

Also known as: The one where Tywin skins a deer, Cersei explains the 'game of thrones' to Ned, and King Robert gets gored by a boar.

8. The Pointy End

Also known as: The one where Robb Stark goes to war, Jon Snow attacks a zombie, and Arya's instructor gets stuck with the pointy end. (Or does he?)

One-line review: Not bad, but something of a filler episode between two all-time greats.

9. Baelor

Also known as: The one where Tyrion goes to war, Robb Stark makes a crucial promise, and Ned loses his head.

One-line review: Other seasons' episode 9s wish they were this episode.

10. Fire and Blood

Also known as: The one where Dany gets naked and hatches some dragons.

One-line review: Shock at Ned's death makes this a quietly powerful finale.

1. The North Remembers

Also known as: The one where Tyrion goes to King's Landing, Stannis burns heretics, and everyone sees a comet.

One-line review: New characters stretch our attention thin, but it's a solid restart.

2. The Night Lands

Also known as: The one where Theon accidentally tries to seduce his sister and Mellisandre successfully seduces Stannis.

One-line review: A good filler episode that segues effortlessly from place to place.

3. What is Dead May Never Die

Also known as: The one where Brienne wins a tournament, Arya is captured by Lannisters, and Shae becomes Sansa's help.

One-line review: Plenty of delicious intrigue and jockeying for power.

4. Garden of Bones

Also known as: The one where Robb meets Talisa, Dany reaches Qarth, and Mellisandre has a bouncing baby shadow.

One-line review: The pace ramps up and our emotions are expertly manipulated.

5. Ghost of Harrenhal

Also known as: The one where Renly is killed by a shadow of Stannis, Brienne and Catelyn flee, and Arya starts work as Tywin's cupbearer.

One-line review: Everything changes again, and some fine acting sells it to us.

6. The Old Gods and the New

Also known as: The one where Theon invades Winterfell, Jon Snow meets Ygritte, and Dany loses her dragons.

One-line review: The show diverges from the books and comes into its own.

7. A Man Without Honor

Also known as: The one where Jaime tries to escape Stark captivity by killing a fellow Lannister, and Jon gets captured.

One-line review: Lots of talking scenes for a nice change of pace.

8. The Prince of Winterfell

Also known as: The one where Arya escapes Harrenhal, Catelyn sends Jaime and Brienne on a quest, and everyone prepares for war.

One-line review: Mostly building up tension for the next two episodes.

9. Blackwater

Also known as: The one where Stannis' fleet attacks King's Landing

One-line review: The most expensive episode, and it shows.

10. Valar Morghulis

Also known as: The one where everyone recovers from the battle, Dany has a vision, and Sam encounters White Walkers.

One-line review: Lots of great cliffhangers make you long for Season 3.

Season 3 (2013)

1. Valar Dohaeris

Also known as: The one where Jon meets Mance Rayder, Dany meets Ser Barristan, and Margery meets the poor.

One-line review: The weakest season opener suffers from too little action.

2. Dark Wings, Dark Words

Also known as: The one where Arya meets the Brotherhood Without Banners, and Joffrey shows Margery his crossbow.

One-line review: A whole lot of scene-setting that doesn't go anywhere.

3. Walk of Punishment

Also known as: The one where Jaime loses his favorite appendage, and Podrick discovers he has a talent.

One-line review: Bogged down by checking in with new and far-flung characters.

4. And Now His Watch Is Ended

Also known as: The one where Dany gets her army and burns a slaver, and the Night's Watch mutinies at Craster's Keep.

One-line review: Other than those two scenes, every plotline is spinning its wheels.

5. Kissed By Fire

Also known as: The one where Davos learns to read, Jon breaks his vows with Ygritte, and Tyrion gets a new fiancée.

6. The Climb

Also known as: The one where Mellisandre grabs Gendry from the Brotherhood, Joffrey kills Ros, and the wildlings go up the Wall.

One-line review: Finally, the plot starts to take off with some epic scenes.

7. The Bear and the Maiden Fair

Also known as: The one where Jaime saves Brienne from a grizzly encounter, and Theon loses his favorite appendage.

One-line review: Particularly hard to watch -- not least because the story has slowed again.

8. Second Sons

Also known as: The one where Tyrion and Sansa get married, Dany recruits some mercenaries, and Sam kills a White Walker.

One-line review: We're clearly building up to something good.

9. The Rains of Castamere

Also known as: The one with the worst wedding ever.

One-line review: Bloody, tense and brilliant, it never fails to shock.

10. Mhysa

Also known as: The one where Ygritte shoots Jon, Theon gets a new name, and Dany crowdsurfs on a bunch of freed slaves.

One-line review: The hangover from the Red Wedding permeates everything.

Season 4 (2014)

1. Two Swords

Also known as: The one where Prince Oberyn comes to King's Landing, Jon goes on trial for desertion, and Arya gets in some killer Needle work.

One-line review: Slightly more engaging than the Season 3 opener.

2. The Lion and the Rose

Also known as: The one where Joffrey gets married, but has a little trouble holding his wine.

One-line review: The show returns to form as a longed-for death brings trouble.

3. Breaker of Chains

Also known as: The one where Sansa escapes, Jaime rapes Cersei, and the Hound almost gets a job.

4. Oathkeeper

Also known as: The one where Bran gets captured, Brienne starts a new quest, and we learn what White Walkers do with babies.

5. First of His Name

Also known as: The one where Jon has a showdown with the mutineers, Tommen gets crowned, and Sansa gets chewed out by her crazy aunt.

One-line review: An awful lot of talking until the brutal but hopeful end.

6. The Laws of God and Men

Also known as: The one where Stannis gets a new line of credit, and Tyrion goes on trial.

One-line review: Someone give Peter Dinklage another Emmy for that speech.

7. Mockingbird

Also known as: The one where Littlefinger sends his new wife on a Moon Door honeymoon.

One-line review: Something of a lull, but there are still surprises to be had.

8. The Mountain and the Viper

Also known as: The one where Oberyn gets something in his eyes.

9. The Watchers on the Wall

10. The Children

1. The Wars to Come

Also known as: The one where Cersei has a flashback, Tyrion gets unboxed, and Mance Rayder has an arrow-ing experience. (Full recap here)

One-line review: A slow but solid start takes the story in several new directions.

2. The House of Black and White

Also known as: The one where Arya arrives in Braavos, Dany's rule starts a riot, and Jon gets a new job. (Full recap here)

One-line review: The show is fully unshackled from the books, and thank goodness.

3. The High Sparrow

One-line review: Slower but more sinister, this sets up conflicts for later in the season.

4. The Sons of the Harpy

Also known as: The one where the Faith Militant get nasty, Mellisandre shows Jon Snow what he doesn't know, and Ser Barristan bites the dust. (Full recap here)

One-line review: Lots of long-winded explanation conversations still intrigue, when spiced with two side orders of massacre.

5. Kill the Boy

Also known as: The one where Ramsay introduces Sansa to Reek, Tyrion sees his first dragon, and Jorah gets a bit stoned. (Full recap here)

One-line review: Some great new directions for our favorite characters, but Ramsay got it right: This is getting tense.

6. Unbent, Unbowed, Unbroken

Also known as: The one where the Faith Militant takes a queen, Jaime and Bronn fail to take a princess, and the show takes a controversial look at Sansa and Ramsay's wedding night. (Full recap here)

One-line review: Some nice interplay between some of our favorite characters -- and all of it overshadowed by That Scene At the End.

7. The Gift

Also known as: The one where Tyrion finally meets Daenerys, Stannis is stuck in the snow, and Cersei gets her comeuppance. (Full recap here)

One-line review: The chess pieces are being moved into place for a big finale, but in general our characters feel as stuck and static as Stannis.

8. Hardhome

Also known as: The one where Dany and Tyrion have wine and a chat, Reek reveals what happened to Sansa's siblings, and Jon and the wildlings experience a White Walker invasion. (Full recap here)

One-line review: Heart-stopping action in the eponymous wildling village makes this easily the strongest episode of the season so far.

9. The Dance of Dragons

Also known as: The one where Shireen gets toasty, Arya gets distracted from an assassination, and Dany and Drogon take to the sky. (Full recap here)

One-line review: The action in Mereen and Stannis' gruesome decision aside, this isn't up to the high standards of previous seasons' episode 9.

10. Mother's Mercy

Also known as: The one where everything happens: Stannis shows up uninvited at Winterfell, Sansa and Theon try some parkour, Arya has something in her eyes, Myrcella has a deadly chat with her dad, Tyrion gets a new job, Cersei gets a haircut, and the Night's Watch pulls Jon Snow into an urgent meeting.
