The monstrosity known as Godzilla is reborn in the first trailer for the modern adaptation of the movie monster that first appeared in Japanese films in the 1950s.
Among the stars of this Gareth Edwards-directed Godzilla film is Breaking Bad's antihero Bryan Cranston as scientist Joe Brody, who is seen running from chaos and having an emotional breakdown in the trailer.
This reboot from Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. follows the 1998 remake of the same name, which went on to gross $379 million at the global box office but was panned by critics.
Godzilla, out May 16, also stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Juliette Binoche, David Strathairn, Sally Hawkins and Ken Watanabe.
