For the gadget-obsessed, online marketplace Grand St. gives members access to the latest in "creative technology."
The exclusive service, whose memberships are only available by invitation, acts as a one-stop shop by curating new products, then letting users view and buy them all in one place.
Much like Gilt, which provides members-only shopping for fashion and lifestyle items, Grand St. offers discounts on devices ranging from an iPad cover that makes typing more efficient to a motion-sensitive bicycle light.
First-time visitors to the site, which is currently in private beta, are greeted with the following prompt:
"Every other day we highlight and sell a new amazing product that we have tested, held and played with. If you see it here, that means it's truly awesome and we stand by it."
They are also encouraged to enter their email address to request an invite -- which Grand St. is rolling out "slowly" -- and to notify friends about the service.
