Groupon's offer for $40 worth of flowers for $20 is available today on FTD's website, not through the company's stores. The limit is two per person and one application of the deal per order. Groupon posted the deal yesterday and it will remain up until midnight CST on Friday, February 11. The offer is good through June 15.
Groupon rep Kelsey O'Neill says that this is the first year Groupon is offering a national deal for Valentine's Day. "We were a lot smaller last year," she says. "This is the first year we've put a big focus on Valentine's Day."
In addition, Groupon has introduced other local Valentine's Day deals including Tango Evolution classes in Atlanta, a weekend winery trip in Washington D.C., a couples' spa treatment at Tru in San Francisco and a hot air balloon ride for two in Toronto.
For its part, LivingSocial this year has introduced Flirt Fest, a program that rewards purchases with Deal Bucks, which can be used for future buys. The promotion, which runs February 8 to 14, gives Deal Bucks based on the number of purchases. On February 15, the Deal Bucks get credited to your account. For instance, if you buy two different deals during Flirt Fest, you get $5 Deal Bucks. Three different deals give you $15 Deal Bucks. Five deals give you $50 Deal Bucks.
