When you're nominated for an Academy Award at age 15, you kind of need to release a hit record by age 18 so no one thinks you're slacking off.

That's exactly what 18-year-old Hailee Steinfeld plans to do. After showcasing her vocal chops in Pitch Perfect 2, Steinfeld released an empowering song called "Love Myself" about how she can love herself any time, day or night.

"I'm gonna touch the pain away," Steinfeld sings. "I know how to scream my own name. Scream my name."

At the premiere of her new movie, Ten Thousand Saints, Steinfeld told E! that a music career has always been a dream of hers.

And since Taylor Swift, who knows a thing or two about having a career in music, happens to be one of her best friends, the dream was certainly achievable.

When asked what her pop star BFF thought of the song, Steinfeld sounded appropriately terrified of T-Swift. "I'm nervous to play her anything," Steinfeld confessed. "I'm nervous to show her any of my movies, but yeah, she's very supportive."

One thing is certain if you're a burgeoning pop star: you're probably better off making a cameo in "Bad Blood" than being the subject of Taylor Swift's vengeance.
