A former Harvard University employee was fired after using his employee credit card to rack up more than $80,000 in purchases, including Legos and iPads, authorities said.

Shawn Bunn, a 44-year-old who worked as a computer lab manager at the school, was arrested Wednesday after university police raided his home outside of Boston and discovered Lego sets, TVs, iPads, and other items purchased with Bunn's university-issued credit card.

Harvard officials became aware of the theft after reviewing university finances, according to the New York Daily News.

Bunn, who had worked at Harvard for 17 years, was issued the credit card to make computer lab purchases, and was required to submit a receipt and written explanation to the department after buying any item worth more than $75. He allegedly provided the school with fake receipts for four years before finally being caught.

Bunn was charged with larceny, false entry into corporate books, and using forged documents. He is due back in court next month.
