High School Kicker Obliterates NFL Record for Longest Field Goal [VIDEO]

Earlier this NFL season, kicker David Akers of the San Francisco 49ers kicked a 63-yard field goal to tie the league record. People thought that was a pretty big deal, and it was. But the NFL record books might want to save a spot for Austin Rehkow of Central Valley HS in Spokane Valley, Wash. Rehkow booted a 67-yarder to send a game into overtime on Thursday. His team went on to win and you can bet college scouts everywhere are taking notice as the video above spreads.

Basically, the takeaway is this: any team that Rehkow suits up for only needs to get to the 50 yard line to have a chance at putting points on the board. Not a bad deal.
