Although this day will most likely be all about the new iPhone, Sprint wants us to know that its new smartphone is selling really well.
On launch day, the EVO 4G shattered previous Sprint's records, held by both the Samsung Instinct and Palm Pre. "The total number of HTC EVO 4G devices sold on launch day was three times the number of Samsung Instinct and Palm Pre devices sold over their first three days on the market combined," Sprint said in an announcement.
Given that the EVO 4G is one most powerful smartphones around, the news underscores the importance of hardware capabilities to consumers; offer them a top-notch device, with some features that competitors don't have (4G), and they'll be interested.
