In the near future, Windows users' Internet Explorer will automatically upgrade to the latest version whenever one is available, Microsoft has announced.
Automatic updates have been one of the best known features of Google's web browser Chrome, and now Microsoft's IE follows suit, but only if the user has enabled automatic updating in Windows.
Although some users prefer to update software on their own, automatic updates are the best way to keep browsers up to date, drastically improving security from malware.
Internet Explorer has slowly but steadily been losing market share, recently dropping below 50% of all web traffic. Chrome, on the other hand, is on a roll, recently surpassing Mozilla Firefox to become the world's number two browser with a 25.69% market share.
