Imeem is partnering with the indie studio Palm Pictures for access to Palm's library of film and music. The deal includes interactive channels for the purpose of promoting new content and further engaging users (what else?).
To kick things off right, Palm Pictures is launching the partnership with a one-day screening of the film "The Method" which will show in a full length version on June 29th at 12:00 midnight (PDT). This is the first time a movie studio will premier a full length film on a social networking site prior to its release in theaters. Also included in the deal is limited access to the full length versions of "Third World Cop," "The Eye," and "The Last Minute" among other films. Imeem users will also have full access to the first 15 minutes of several Palm's films, streaming videos and music, and an online film festival.
