Apple has officially confirmed the exact time of the iPad 2 release: It's coming Friday, March 11, at 5 p.m. local time in retail stores, and it will be available to order at 1 a.m. PT in Apple's online store.
The device will also be available at 5 p.m. local time at AT&T, Best Buy, Target, Verizon Wireless, Walmart and select Apple Authorized Resellers.
According to Apple, every customer who buys an iPad 2 at an Apple retail store will get free Personal Setup service, meaning an Apple employee will help them set up e-mail, download apps from the App Store and the like.
