Mini Friday - News of this one has been floating around since December, but the folks behind Habbo Hotel got in touch today to talk about Mini Friday, their research project on virtual worlds on mobile phones. It works on selected Nokia S60 phones, and there's no doubt they have ambitions for Habbo in the mobile space.
Truphone Funded - Truphone, a London-based startup which offers free mobile-mobile calls over WiFi and is currently in beta, has closed a series A round of $24.5m led by Wellington Partners. That's a lotta dough. (via)
