Islandoo, which was originally launched to cast people for a British TV show called Shipwrecked, now allows any TV show to use the service to recruit talent. According to the company, Channel 4 (UK), BBC and MTV have setup casting calls on the site. Looking at the homepage, there now appear to be at least six shows searching for applicants.
The site now claims 38,000 members that are looking for roles in TV shows, movies, and commercials. To apply to a show, users can submit a video, photos, and some personal details about themselves. We first covered the company a little more than a year ago.
