There are a lot of objectionable things in the first clip from Lifetime's upcoming Unauthorized Full House Story, including awkward dialogue, a Tanner family living room where the stairs and front door are on the opposite side they should be, and star Garrett Brawith's weird, fake Bob Saget voice.

But the part where Justin Gaston's Uncle Jesse asks series creator Jeff Franklin to replace the adorable Olsen twins with babies who are a little more "comfortable" on camera? Weirdly enough, that actually happened.

"It's sort of true that the Olsen twins cried a lot. It was very difficult to get the shot -- so that is actually 100% accurate," Stamos told journalists at a panel for his new Fox sitcom Grandfathered during TCA Thursday. "I said, 'Get rid of these kids,' and they brought on a couple of unattractive red-headed kids. We tried that for a while and that didn't work. So I said, 'OK, get the Olsen twins back.' And that's the story."

You read that right: Uncle Jesse wanted to 86 Mary-Kate and Ashley, the pint-sized icons who would eventually build a media empire that made them each millionaires before they could do their times tables.

No word on whether MK and Ash have any hard feelings toward their TV uncle -- though they've clearly moved on from their Full House days. The moguls have no plans to appear on Netflix's Fuller House, a sequel series set to debut next year.

Stamos, for the record, was "heartbroken" when he heard Michelle wouldn't join the streaming site's family reunion.
