After 16 years behind the Daily Show news desk, Jon Stewart announced Tuesday that he will step down later this year.
While Comedy Central reportedly plans to keep the series alive with a new host, The Daily Show as we've known it since Stewart took over in 1999 will be a fond memory of the past. Stewart announced his departure before a studio audience while taping Tuesday night's show.
