Actor Kevin Bacon has snapped a selfie from a mystery location in the UK that has some fans gasping -- while others make jokes about pork products.
The actor is nearly unrecognizable in the shot posted to his official Twitter and Instagram accounts. His chiseled jawline has been replaced with a double chin and chubby cheeks. A white trailer typically used on movie sets plays backdrop for the jarring image.

Bacon fans on social media are demanding to know what is going on, but there's been nary a peep from Bacon nor his publicist on his transformation, which is likely for a new role on an undisclosed project.
It's also more likely than not that Bacon is showing off some kind of prosthetic makeup, rather than extra pounds.
Fox canceled the Bacon-led thriller The Following this month after its third season. The final episode is set to air May 18.
