Aside from the occasional huge mistake, the Los Angeles Kings (@lakings) have one of the most entertaining Twitter accounts in all of sports. We detailed that in-depth here, and the team didn't disappoint this weekend.
The defending Stanley Cup champs were eliminated from the NHL playoffs on Saturday night, joining the Pittsburgh Penguins as league semifinalists booted from the post-season just before the last round.
Misery loves company, so the Kings extended an empathetic olive branch to the Penguins via Twitter by proposing a joint drowning of sorrows:

The excellent tweet proved a hit with sports fans online, and has since been retweeted and favorited a total of nearly 50,000 times. The mental image of a pair of mascots getting mournfully drunk in some dive-y, smokey lounge is, admittedly, pretty swell.
