Trailer for Ang Lee's 'Life of Pi' Is a Visual Treat [VIDEO]

The first trailer for the upcoming Ang Lee movie, "Life of Pi," is now available for your viewing pleasure.

Based on the 2011 novel of the same name by Yann Martel, "Life of Pi" follows Indian boy Piscine Molitor "Pi" Patel, who is stranded on a boat in the Pacific Ocean after a shipwreck, with only a couple of animals -- including a Bengal tiger -- to keep him company.

From what can be seen in the trailer, the movie will be quite a visual feast, with a lot of digital effects and some amazing imagery from cinematographer Claudio Miranda, known for his work on "Tron," "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" and "Seven."

The film is directed by Academy Award winner Ang Lee, known for "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon," "The Ice Storm" and "Brokeback Mountain." It is slated to hit the cinemas on Nov. 21, 2012.
