Linga Combines Bookmarking with Wikis and Comment Threads

Linga is a new service that combines bookmarking with a wiki and a comments stream.

With this tool, you can add a browser plug-in and bookmark pages you find interesting as you surf the web. From there, you have the option of starting a wiki for the webpage, or participating in the existing wiki for that webpage. The wikis are rather functional and enable you to include wiki syntax for bold/italics font options, headers, and bulleted lists. The wiki syntax ledger is available below the wiki editor. Linga will also retain the history of the wiki entries, so you can see who changed what, and when. With this tool, you can also keep a comments thread as well.

While you can see what users have contributed to the wikis and comments, there are no profiles or messaging tools for Linga. This site supports OpenID, which gives you easy sign in options if you're an existing OpenID user. Including ways to track wikis and comments would be a good option for users, similar to coComment.
