Man Defeats Anti-Gay Rant on New York Subway

Anyone who has spent time on a New York City subway train knows that the chances of being sequestered with someone ranting about prescriptive religious beliefs are fairly high.

While most turn a deaf (or a head-phone-covered) ear to the diatribe, in this case one man decided he was going to stand up for himself just as loudly as his opponent -- and won applause from his fellow passengers.

The self-proclaimed preacher shouted about the sinfulness of homosexuality, and at one point said "Michael Jackson died because he was gay." The unidentified subway patron bellowed back: "I'm a man, and I'm a good man, and I'm a gay man and Jesus loves me."

The train car cheered, and the man warmed to his theme -- love -- as the train approached the next station. Check out the video above to see how it went down.
