Marissa Mayer, president and CEO of Yahoo, is pregnant with twins.

Mayer announced the news on Yahoo's Tumblr blogging platform Tuesday, emphasizing her plans to continue working throughout the pregnancy, adding that she and her husband Zachary Bogue did not expect twins.

"Since my pregnancy has been healthy and uncomplicated and since this is a unique time in Yahoo’s transformation, I plan to approach the pregnancy and delivery as I did with my son three years ago, taking limited time away and working throughout," she wrote in the post.

The blog post ends with a short note from Yahoo's staff, saying the company is "extremely happy for her and supportive of her plans and approach."

This is the second time Mayer has been pregnant during her time at Yahoo, where she arrived after a long stint at Google. On the day of her hiring in July 2012, she announced she was pregnant with a baby boy. She gave birth in September.

Though Mayer calls the current situation at Yahoo "unique," one could think of other, less flattering adjectives to describe the web giant's year so far. In April 2015, Yahoo posted lukewarm revenue and extremely weak earnings. The situation was improved somewhat in Q2, with the company narrowly beating revenue expectations, but the future outlook remained weak. Yahoo's stock price has dropped from $50.17 per share at the beginning of 2015 to $32.24 on August 31.
