The American Horror Story franchise is adding some new blood and saying farewell to someone who has been a part of the series since the beginning.

White Collar alum Matt Bomer will be the male lead on American Horror Story: Hotel, co-starring alongside Lady Gaga in the next installment of the American Horror Story anthology, while Jessica Lange is bowing out.

Glee alum Cheyenne Jackson will also be joining the cast.

The announcements were made at a panel for the show on the closing night of the annual PaleyFest, where last year the show announced the addition of Michael Chiklis to the cast.

Details of Bomer and Lady Gaga's characters remain under wraps, and Bomer was coy when asked whether there was a connection between the two in the scripts.

"I can't confirm or deny that it may be a romantic relationship," he said.

Bomer played a prostitute named Andy in a November episode of American Horror Story: Freak Show but his character was not on the show long...because he was dismembered by Twisty.

"I only got to dip my toe into the freaky-deaky nature of the show and I'm ready to go into the deep end," he said.

Meanwhile, Lange, who has led the series since its start, used the panel to confirm rumors that she will not be returning for the fifth season, set to debut in October.

"Yes, I'm done," she said, adding that she's had "a great run." "I have absolutely loved playing these four characters I've had the opportunity to play."

Lady Gaga was announced as the female lead of American Horror Story: Hotel late last month.

The new season begins in October.
