Bid farewell to the sweet, chubby-cheeked Neville Longbottom of your youth.
Matthew Lewis, who played the young wizard in each Harry Potter film, revealed a newly ripped physique on the cover of Attitude Magazine. One million points to Gryffindor, Longbottom.
This isn't the first time Lewis has made headlines for his physical transformation from geeky teen to heartthrob, but it is the first time we've had a partial glimpse under the Gryffindor robe.
The shoot is part of a cover story that details Lewis' career developments since Harry Potter's wrap in 2011, including his upcoming role in the film adaptation of Jo Jo Moyes' novel Me Before You, out in 2016.
Of course, not everyone was delighted by the sight of Longbottom's wand, namely J.K. Rowling herself:
.@Mattdavelewis Not as bad as watching Dan in Equus, but close. Warn me next time, for God's sake. https://t.co/r8EUd1GKqT— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) May 21, 2015
.@Mattdavelewis I will always support you whatever you want to do, Matthew. Now go put some clothes on.— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) May 21, 2015
Never apologize, Lewis. We're rooting for you, nude or not.
Neville Longbottom's going to have someone's eye out with that thing one of these days.— J (@jcgregs) May 21, 2015
