Meebo now has a Firefox extension that lets you add instant messaging to the web browser. The basic meebo features are all there, so you'll still get access to your friends across multiple IM clients like AIM, Yahoo, MSN, ICQ, GTalk and Jabber.
There's also automatic sign-on, the ability to share links, and meebo alerts, which lets you see when you get a new message, or when a friend signs on or offline. A sidebar option lets you see your most recent messages as you browse the web as well.
This new Firefox extension for Meebo comes after the release of its iPhone-optimized version as well as its file-transfer option. Looks like Meebo is taking measures to be everywhere you need it to be, in a very integrated manner.
