The truth is out there, and it's in 1:12 scale.

Even though The X-Files was a geek culture staple of the '90s, its riveting plots and peculiar characters seem like they were made for the Internet, especially when you shrink them down to miniature size.

Los Angeles-based Digital Producer and X-Files fan Tori, who chose to keep her last name stay anonymous, took on her nerdy side project, a series of photos called The Miniature X-Files Office, after being inspired by an X-Files-themed art show.

"At first, I started making the scenes just as an excuse to take pictures of the office. But then I realized these little silly scenarios were just as much fun," Tori told Mashable.

Tori's miniature scenes play on what many fans enjoy about being part of The X-Files fandom -- a subtle mix of quirky humor and geeky references from the show.

"I usually will just get an idea I think is funny or silly," she said, remembering a particular photo she made for Dana Scully's birthday. "I remembered that Mulder gave her a pink Sno Ball for her birthday in one episode. I found some of my daughter's modeling clay, some old glitter and food coloring. Viola!"

While Tori either personally builds or buys custom made accessories for her scenes, her figurines of Scully and Mulder are toy action figures.
