Motorola might see an injunction on Feb. 16, according to Florian Mueller. The Munich I Regional Court could very well grant the injunction against Motorola because of its products that "implement a certain method for flipping pages in a photo gallery". The court may find this implementation an infringement of a European patent (EP2059868) Apple currently holds.
Mueller notes the court is rather convinced of the validity of the patent and believes "the Android photo gallery constitutes a violation of that patent at least in its "zoom in" mode and possibly (though this is not yet certain) in its "zoom out" mode". The same patent was the object of a case against Samsung -- where a European preliminary injunction against Samsung Galaxy smartphones was imposed -- but the Korean phone-maker found a way around the patent by modifying the bits found on its phones.
