Netflix made the announcement via Twitter while the show's cast was celebrating the new season -- and the very first OrangeCon -- in New York City.

The plan had been for the new season to drop at midnight PT.
We, of course, are not going to argue with this change of plans because it means we all get a full night's sleep.
That is, unless you plan on watching the whole season straight through. In which case, we bow to you, magical nocturnal friends.
