New Video Shows Asiana Plane Flipping in the Air Before Crash

On July 6, a Boeing 777 operated by Asiana Airlines crashed while landing in San Francisco. The reasons for the crash are still unclear, which is why the National Transportation Safety Board called an 11-hour marathon hearing Wednesday.

During the hearing, the NTSB released a previously unpublished video of the crash that shows the failed landing of Asiana's Flight 214, which resulted in three deaths and 180 injuries.

The footage, taken from an airport security camera, shows the plane as it hits the runway, and dramatically flips in the air. Watch it, below:

Taken from a distance, the video doesn't perhaps tell the story of the crash as well as an incredibly realistic animation made by a former Boeing 727 pilot, but it's an important part of the investigation.
